Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush-Rose D’or Review & Swatches

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush-Rose D’or (Rs 575 for 2.5 g) available at Bourjois counters or at Slassy.com. The price has been hiked to around Rs 700 according to the SA.Shade – It is a stunning combination of rose pink and golden shimmer that imparts a beautiful glow on face. The shimmer is visible but it is very soft and not overdone. It is one of the Hot Selling shades of Bourjois and I cannot deny the fact as the shade is damn pretty and will suit all skin tones. However, I feel that it may show differently on all skin tones. On some, it may come out to be rosy and one some it may be more of a shimmer shade.

Packaging – The packaging is similar to other Bourjois product and like mentioned in the name-A small round pot having similar colour as the blush shade. A small blush applicator is also provided which does come handy when in Emergency. The bristles are soft but I find it a tad bit smaller for use. The packaging is travel friendly and sturdy.It is easy to locate in case you have more than one Bourjois Blushes. It has fallen many times but still rescued!!!Texture & Formula – The texture of the blush is smooth and soft. It is easy to apply and the shimmer present isn’t gritty or irritating. The shimmer doesn’t clog pores nor accentuates them.

Pigmentation – Rose D’or is decently pigmented and one swipe of the shade will give enough colour. However, since it is a baked blush so over the time, it may harden. In that case, you can just scratch the upper layer and the blush will be pigmented again.

I would call it medium to buildable shade!!

Staying Power –The blush lasts for about 5 hours after which the shimmer effect lessens bit the colour remains.

Ease of Application – The blush is easy to apply .But you have to layer it 2-3 times to achieve the shade as it is a bit sheer in first application.

Overall Thoughts

Rose d’or is such a shade that anybody and everybody can sport it with ease. It is subtle yet impactful. The shimmer present is soft and non-gritty. However, those who doesn’t like shimmer in there blushes should stay away from this blush and check out Rose frisson as the shimmer is very prominent in Rose D’or.
