The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask Review

I love face masks and use them twice a week without fail. The Body Shop Recipe Of Nature Superfood Face masks have been my long time favourite and Few of them like Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Mask and Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask are my most used ones. Recently a new variants is added to this range and it has the most popular ingredient – Japanese Matcha Tea, known for its anti-oxidant rich formula. The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask is another glorious product that the brand launched earlier this month.

The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask Review

The mask comes in a dark glass jar with a bulky black plastic screw lid. The texture of the mask reminds me of Pea-paste (strangely) and it feels very soft pulpy on the skin. The Japanese matcha tea clears out skin and removes dirt & impurities from the pores.

I apply a thin layer of this mask after washing my face thoroughly. I leave it on for 10 minutes or until it dries. Once dry you can see flakes or granules present in the mask that work as mild exfoliating particles. I massage the mask gently and then wash it off. It instantly brightens up the skin and makes it appear radiant and smooth. Japanese Matcha Tea removes harmful toxins from the skin and fight free radicals that accelerate ageing. It is also good for acne prone skin because of its sebum regulation properties.

The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask doesn’t smell of anything. The mask is very gentle and doesn’t irritate my skin, however i do feel mild tingling sensation for initial few seconds.

I am not sure if it works on acne /pimple issues because at the moment my skin is pretty clear. It doesn’t take away the natural moisture from my skin and keeps it soft.

The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask is priced at Rs 1895 for 75 ml, available online HERE

Overall Thoughts

If you are looking for a mask that removes impurities from the skin without drying it our then do try The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask. It removes impurities from skin and makes skin clear & radiant. The downside will be the bulky jar it comes in which makes it not-s0-travel-friendly.
