Every girl needs a good gentle makeup remover in her life, that could take off all the makeup without irritating her skin or eyes. I always wanted to try Cleansing Butter but then only brand I knew that had Cleansing Butter was Clinique, and they have priced it pretty high ! So when I heard that The Body Shop has launched Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, I grabbed one as soon as possible and started using it almost every time I put makeup on.
My Experience-
The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter comes in a huge round metal container with a screw on lid. Cleansing Butter is white in color and turns translucent when you start rubbing it on face. It melts immediately and you would only have to massage face only for 5-10 seconds and it dissolves all the makeup. I don’t wear waterproof makeup much but yes my eye makeup is always long wearing, smudge proof. This product removes kajal, mascara or even lip stains pretty quickly.
In the below picture I have swatched all long wearing, smudge proof eyeliners including Colorbar I-glide pencil, Maybelline Gel eyeliner
Rubbed half a pea size amount of The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter on the swatches for 5 seconds
Wiped it off with a cotton round–
It does leave an oily feel behind but in any case I wash my face with a facial cleanser after using makeup remover. Some may find it pricey but I find the product worth each penny. Butter moisturises the skin and doesn’t make it feel dry or stretchy and at the same time doesn’t cause break outs !
Overall Thoughts
The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter is my favorite makeup remover these days. It takes off makeup quickly without leaving any residue behind. Its easy to use and tub is quite travel friendly. It has mild camomile scent which feels very soothing. This cleansing butter hasn’t irritated my skin or eyes and I would definitely recommend it ! If you don’t want to spend time using separate removers for face & eyes, try The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter.
