Shade – Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup comes in Nine shades , I was matched to Medium shade.Packaging – Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup comes in round plastic tub with a sifter. I didn’t remove the sticker, just made 3-4 holes so that I don’t get too much of product. I take out required amount of product in the lid, by holding the tub upside down and tapping at the back/ bottom. For application I use either a Kabuki or sigma F80 brush.Texture & Formula – Its a finely milled powder and gives most natural looking even complexion. I was on a lookout for a good powder foundation , which can provide some coverage (whenever I am in hurry) and doesn’t make my face made up or cakey. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation blends and vanishes in to the skin. It keeps my skin soft and smooth throughout the wear. I have never faced issue of dry patches ever, though I always make sure to apply moisturizer underneath.

Coverage – Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup provides light to medium coverage. When I want light coverage, I use a fluffy brush to dust powder all over my face, in case of medium coverage, I buff foundation into my skin building layers, with a dense brush or powder puff. The best part is you wouldn’t need too much product, its very much buildable & still looks good. To build up the coverage I sometimes use a tinted moisturizer or BB cream as a base. Staying Power – Without primer it stays on for good 4-5 hours after that it disappears. with primer staying power increase by 2-3 hours. I generally wear it without primer only.

What I liked

1. Soft texture, finely milled formula.
2. Blends easily without looking cakey or powdery.
3. Suitable for dry skin, doesn’t make skin dry or wrinkle-y (if that’s even a word)
4. Buildable coverage, suitable for daily wear.
5. 9 shades to choose from.
6. Comes with SPF 15.

What I disliked

1. Price, Its expensive.
2. Light to medium coverage, will not cover hyper pigmentation completely.
3. Causes Flashback in flash photography due to SPF, so not suitable if you are going to take lots of pictures.
4. Availability.

This is how it looks on me. Photos below have been taken indoors under artificial light without flash. I haven’t applied anything else (no concealer). This pictures haven’t been retouched.

Overall thoughts

If you are looking at a powder foundation that has light to medium coverage, looks absolutely natural and doesn’t dry out skin, try Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup. I totally love this product and wear it almost on every outing. It evens out my skin within seconds. I just use a concealer under my eyes and dust Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup over my face lightly. I know how hard is to find a powder foundation for dry skin and that’s where Mineral Makeup comes, Formula is infused with Glycerin, Vitamin & Skin softener, so skin never looks dull dehydrated. If you don’t have too many blemishes to hide or looking for natural looking makeup, I would Highly recommend this product !
