Product and Packaging – Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Nectar, like the others has five distinct stripes of colour that can be used individually as separate eyeshades or swirled together as a highlighter cum blush.   The shimmer brick comes in a simple square black compact with a mirror.  There is no applicator provided, but I have gotten the Bobbi Brown face blender brush separately in a another set that I purchased, and I use that for applying the powder.

Shade – The five separate shades are difficult to describe individually, but the overall impact is a wash of coral with subtle gold shimmer running through

The colours I see are a pink based coral, peachy coral, a yellow gold coral, a shimmering gold and an orange based coral.  The description of Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Nectar seems perfect for the soft shimmery coral gold that appears when you swirl all shades together.  All the shades are very warm toned and complement Indian skin tone beautifully.

Pigmentation – I have used Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Nectar both as an eye shadow as well as a blush cum highlighter and find that the colours are sheer but easily buildable.  The colours though sheer have enough intensity to work with for a subtle day look or a more glamorous evening look.

Texture – Like all Bobbi Brown products, the quality of Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Nectar is excellent.  The powders are buttery smooth and soft and completely blendable.   There is a decent amount of fall out though, when you use a soft fluffy blush to use swirl all the colours around.  Even when you use a single colour as a shadow, there is some amount of loose powder fall out in the compact.

Staying Power – Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Nectar stays on me for 4 to 6 hours without primer and over 6 hours with primer.  The colours remain fresh even at the end of day and there is no sinking into fine lines.

Overall Thoughts

A wonderfully thought out product that will find a use on a number of occasions.  I love the luminous look Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Nectar gives to skin with just a kiss of shimmer.   A classic that is a must have in every wardrobe.
