Lipsticks are my one love. There are so many shades to choose from, so many finishes, and so many types. Lipsticks allow us abundance of choices. And they can tone up or tone down a look so easily. And bright shades such as this one just brighten up your face. The days I am not feeling upto full face of makeup I go for shades like these, which brighten up my face. I always wanted to try the brand BOBBI BROWN, chose to start with lipstick. The minute I swatched Bobbi Brown Pink Lip Color, I fell in love and got this.

What it does:

This lipstick treats lips to rich color with a soft-matte finish. Infused with vitamins E and C as well as beeswax, it also moisturizes and comforts lips.

Packaging – Bobbi Brown Pink Lip Color comes in a black cardboard box with the name and details printed in white. The actual bullet comes in a shiny sleek black and gold packaging. The whole look is so classy and elegant including the outer box. It is a finger print magnet though, can easily look messy, but easy to clean also. Closes firmly, so it is quite sturdy and travel friendly. Overall I love the packaging.

Shade – The shade is described as bright pink on Sephora website. It is a bright and bold pink. But, not so bright or overtly bold. It is a very wearable pink for everyone. All skin tones can carry this shade. It will instantly brighten up your look and face. The simplicity of the name says it all, it is a true pink. But it is not like a Barbie or candy pink. A very wearable everyday pink.

Texture & Finish – It has a semi matte formula. It gives a creamy finish when you swipe it on your lips but it sets to a semi matte finish after a while. The texture of Bobbi Brown Lip Color Pink is quite creamy and it glides on smoothly on to the lips and feels very comfortable on the lips. The formula is creamy and lightly moisturising, though when it settles to semi matte the moisturization lessens, but it doesn’t dry out my lips. It sits very comfortably on my lips and it quite forgiving if I have a little chapped lips.

Pigmentation & Staying Power – Bobbi Brown Pink Lip Color is very pigmented. With a single swipe it covers all the pigmentation of my lips and gives an even colour pay off. You do not need a lip liner underneath. The colour pay off of the lipstick is enough in itself. It gives you an opaque non glossy semi matte finish, which makes it an easy everyday wear. The staying power of this lipstick is quite good. It stays on upto 6 hours on my lips without any touch up. Even if I eat in between it doesn’t completely vanish off. It fades post 6 hours gradually leaving a slight tint behind. Best part is it doesn’t fade unevenly or doesn’t get patchy on my lips.

Overall Thoughts

I love the Bobbi Brown Pink Lip Color. The shade is a beautiful pink, which is wearable every day, can be carried by all skin tones and brightens up the face. The formula and finish of it is amazing, it’s creamy without being glossy and semi matte without being dry. It has amazing colour payoff and stays on for quite a while. Overall I am quite impressed by it, will definitely be picking up a few more of these.
