Bobbi Brown Site Says : Bobbi’s original formula treats lips to rich color with a soft-matte finish. Infused with Vitamins E and C as well as Beeswax, it also moisturizes and comforts lips.
Packaging: The lipstick comes inside a plain black cardboard package. Inside you will find a simple black and gold package. The lipstick bullet is simply done and the cap does not come off, making it travel-friendly.
Texture and Pigmentation – The texture of Bobbi Brown Lip Color Nude is very smooth and it glides on without tugging or pulling, settling on my lips easily, and it does not bleed. It has heavy pigmentation and goes opaque in one swipe. It has a smell which I don’t really care for, but it goes away within a minute or so, and I am not complaining. It is quite hydrating and does not dry out my lips at all. The lipstick does transfer.
Color and Staying Power – The color is great – exactly as described, a nice, creamy brownish pink which goes semi-matte on my lips. It is without any shimmer or glitter particles, which reminds me sometimes of MAC Brick-O-La, although there are some subtle differences between the two. It’s a good shade for day wear, and also when I have done up my eyes heavily. Essentially, Bobbi Brown Lip Color Nude is one of the colors which does not wash me off, and gives me a very flattering pair of lips. The lipstick stays put for a good 4 hours without fading much. It does go away if I eat or drink, so repairing after lunch is a must. But this is a very good shade for the approaching winter thanks to the hydrating factor.
What I liked
- Good packaging
- Nice color
- Does not bleed
- Does not flake or dry out my lips
- Stays a decent period of time
- Slightly off-putting smell
I have to explore more from this range – my first impressions have left me looking at more shades. The browns and the reds do look very autumn friendly, and will be great additions to my kitty next.
