This award-winning liner gives you the look of liquid liner with the ease & feel of a gel formula. Long-wearing, water-resistant color glides on & lets you get it just right before it dries – then stays without a smear or crease.

Shade – Chocolate shimmer ink as the name says is warm toned chocolate brown shade with super fine bronze golden shimmer to it. The shade is very flattering and is soft looking and can be worn any time of the day.

Texture – Bobbi Brown gel liner are soft however the ones which have shimmer in them are not as smooth as the plain shades , this is creamy but still there is little firmness due to shimmer. It glides easily and sets well within few seconds, you do get time to smoke out as it doesn’t dry too fast.

Packaging – The liner is housed in small round glass tub and classic black cap and BOBBI BROWN written in white. The glass tub is very sturdy and feels luxe.

Pigmentation – Chocolate Shimmer Ink Gel  is nicely pigmented and is opaque in two swipes , I’m NC 40 and my lids are medium to dark however if you are little darker then NC 45 then you should try this in store before you buy as it may appear less brown on lids .

Staying Power – It stays nicely without smudging or fading for 8 plus hours on my oily lids however by the end of day shimmer fades a little still it doesn’t travel around.

Overall Thoughts

I love collecting Gel Liners as they are easy to use once you get hang of it and my most favourite is Clinique cream on gel liner which I shared few days back but due to limited shade selection my second favourite is undoubtedly Bobbi Brown and I highly recommend you to try these . The only con I find is the lack of availability and the price factor; else they are just so perfect.
