Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Ultra Soothing Face Lotion Review

Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Face Lotion is something I have seen very often as in the Taj Gateway Hotels as their in room toiletries.  I have used it a couple of times when I have stayed there as well, and its pretty nice.

Packaging – Biotique Bio Morning Nectar has the same white bottle, green lid as most of the Biotique products.  This is convenient to use and sturdy at the same time.

Fragrance – I am mentioning the fragrance since this is quite strong. Its more of a chemical freshner kind of smell and doesn’t feel very natural or botanical.  I don’t much care for this but fortunately this wears off in a few minutes of wearing the lotion.  If you are allergic to strong smells, then you might want to try a little bit first before buying a full sized bottle.Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Ultra Soothing Face Lotion with SPF 30+ - Review (2)Texture – Biotique Bio Morning Nectar has a normal consistency and comes out of the bottle easily.  It spreads evenly, though is a little sticky.  I find that it does not absorb quite quickly enough.  I am more used to products that have a lighter weightless texture.  This one quite literally sits on your skin and you can feel it for a while.  I even find that I start sweating on my face quite quickly with this on.

This texture would work a lot better for a night cream.  This one is clearly a day lotion since it has a SPF 30. I should work for people with dry skin or those living in a cooler climate – clearly not for the humid Mumbai weather.

Overall Thoughts

I don’t think I will be using Biotique Bio Morning Nectar too often.  I might carry it along when I’m traveling since the packaging is sturdy, but this doesn’t work for me on a daily basis.  I prefer to go with my routine serum topped with a sunblock. I also wish they had gone a little easy with the fragrance.  Might have had more fans if it was softer.

I love Biotique products. When I was in India, I tried their cleansing lotion and it was great. I wish I lived in India and had access to all these great products : (
