Ooooh!! ‘Nice Knickers’ …. When I walked out of Sephora the other day, I told my husband that ‘I have paid Rs 1250 for Nice Knickers’ .. He stared at me .. I broke out laughing and told him that its just the name of a lipstick .. He stared again because last time I showed him Soap & Glory “Sexy Mother Pucker” lip plumper LOL … He must be wondering as to what has happened to whole beauty industry.. they are giving such cheeky names to their products!
A little note !! Inside the box.. Benefit Silky Finish Lipstick Nice Knickers comes in sturdy, sleek black packaging. Nice Knickers is Raspberry pink shade. The bullet looks matte but it kind of melts on your lips when you apply!! Texture is super smooth and buttery. It feels moisturizing like a lip balm and I love the feel of it!! Pigmentation is sheer but buildable. It gives a super-glossy finish, which almost looks like a lip gloss. You can see in the above swatch how glossy and moisturizing it looks. I have dry lips and nothing can suit them better than a moisturizing formula!
Due to its balmy, slippery texture it doesn’t stay on for long. On me it stayed on for 3 hours without eating or drinking anything. It slips away once you eat or drink.
The formula can be compared to Revlon Lip butters. Only difference is that Benefit’s bullet doesn’t melts or creates a mess inside the packaging the way Revlon lip butters do :/
This may not be a right choice for those who love opaque shades with long staying power. However if you suffer from dry/chapped lips, this will be a blessing for you …
Negative areas would be Price and staying power. Price is too high for such a low staying power. I can overlook it a bit due to buttery texture, but cannot completely ignore it.
A super creamy, buttery formula, which melts on to your lips.. leaving a super glossy finish behind. The formula is comparable to a lip balm which doesn’t highlight dryness or fine lines. If you are the one who want a sheer wash of color, this might be a good choice ! The cheaper dupe would be Revlon Lip butters!
