I love to try illuminators and wanted MAC strobe cream but when I swatched that I found it a bit over for me. Then came this beauty!! I was in love with Benefit Girl Meets Pearl the moment I saw it. Check out the review of Benefit High Beam Luminescent Complexion Enhancer as well

Shade – Benefit Girl Meets Pearl is a liquid highlighter with a pearlescent golden sheen and the tiniest hint of pink. It is a pearl highlighter in creamy base.

Packaging – The packaging is girly. It is quite different and actually functional.Twisting the click-turn bottom dispenses the product, which comes out of the small holes at the top, and I think the design provides a great deal of control over the amount of product used. Also, I can apply Benefit Girl Meets Pearl  directly on the cheekbones and blend it further. A small transparent cap is provided over the dispenser to avoid spillage. The packaging is very travel friendly and easy to use.Texture & Formula – The formula of the Benefit Girl Meets Pearl highlighter is very smooth and light weight. It has the right consistency which is neither runny nor thick and blends easily into the skin without looking patchy or streaky. It has a very pleasing fragrance that isn’t overpowering, something like raspberry. It doesn’t clog pores neither it broke me out. The pearl particles present are very subtle and in cream base so they don’t travel all around the face. The formula is great for all skin types and doesn’t make my combination skin tone oily.

Pigmentation – Benefit Girl Meets Pearl provides sheer luminance in a single coat which can be increased further with another swipe. It provides a very natural glow.

Staying Power – Benefit Girl Meets Pearl stays for 6-7 hours on my face with a layer of finishing powder.

Ease of Application – I have used this illuminator by mixing it with the foundation for all over glow and it performs wonderfully as the pearl particles blend very well. Also, I apply it on the cheek bones, brow bone for a natural glow. It has pink tone which gives natural flush to cheeks.

Overall Thoughts

I absolutely love Benefit Girl Meets Pearl. I have been searching for such an illuminator for a long time. Though it is pricey but it’s totally worth it. The quality, formula, performances are top notch. This bottle will last long as only a small amount is needed.
