Avon has recently launche two new products – AVON CC Cream & Matte Lipstick. AVON Skin Goodness CC Cream comes in a plastic squeeze tube with a narrow nozzle. Avon CC Cream is available in only two shades – N*de & Medium Wheat. I am reviewing N*de shade which still doesn’t match me perfectly still with a deeper setting powder on top I wear it.

AVON Skin Goodness CC Cream has a runny consistency. It feels very light weight infact after sometime I tend to forget that I have something on. Formula blends easily and sets pretty quickly. CC Creams are supposed to color correct the skin  i.e. evening out the skintone by covering redness or discoloration. Brand claims that it covers flaws etc but I find the formula sheer, it does brightens up my face instantly, covers redness (pimples/ acne) to an extent but doesn’t do anything for discoloration.

The shade looks slightly ashy on my forehead however it blends nicely with rest of my face. I am not sure if it has some light-reflection quality but my face looks illuminated, with no signs of dullness whatsoever. However I find myself getting a bit shiny after sometime so I always top it off with a powder matching my skin tone, that ways it blends well on the darker areas of my face like forehead.

You can see the difference in below pictures, I have used flash while clicking these pictures hence the shots with AVON Skin Goodness CC Cream on look but white (not ashy). But in person my face doesn’t look ashy at all.In the 3rd Picture I have only AVON Skin Goodness CC Cream on, 4th photo has Revlon Photoready Powder and a blush on top of it.

I have been using it for almost 2 weeks now and the formula hasn’t broken me out. I haven’t seen it doing much for the discoloration or dark spots but I will continue using it for a month and report back.So far I think shades and quantity are the biggest drawbacks.

Overall Thoughts

Light consistency and brightening qualities of AVON Skin Goodness CC Cream makes it perfect for summers. It provides protection from UVA rays (SPF 50/ PA++), so to prevent skin from UVB damage one needs another layer of sunscreen beneath it. The only drawback I could find is that AVON CC Cream is only available in 2 shades, and none of the shades would match NC 42 and above.
