Avon Little Black Dress Eau de Parfum Review

Can a woman ever has enough perfumes? Nope .. I have more than 10 of them and still collecting. I wear fragrances according to my mood and occasion. I find me leaning towards woody, musky notes and stay away from too floral or fruity scents. I generally love Avon perfumes and have tried a number of them before like The Little Gold Dress Perfume & Instinct Eau De Parfum. Avon Little Black Dress Eau de Parfum is the newest addition to my collection.

Avon Little Black Dress Eau de Parfum comes in a beautiful glass bottle, that looks quite elegant. The color theme is black and gold which we know the best fool-proof combinations ever. Its a 50 ml bottle and quite compact to travel with. The cap shuts tightly and doesn’t come off easily.

Top notes of Avon Little Black Dress are cyclamen, coriander, african ginger, apricot blossom and honeysuckle

middle notes are gardenia, ylang-ylang, pink peony, jasmine and datura

base notes are sandalwood, tonka bean, musk, japanese plum and woody notes.

So as you can see if has a blend of woody, floral & musky notes. However I find it a bit too strong for my liking. The fragrance stays on for good 5-7 hours on me. It has a strong sillage and that’s what bothers me the most. I don’t like strong scents. However it settles and tones down after half an hour.

I find it more of an evening scent than day time. It also needs an occasion and can’t be worn every where, due to its intensity. Though it is one of the cleanest fragrance I have worn recently. My mom absolutely loves it and that’s why I have gifted it to her.

Overall Thoughts

Avon Little Black Dress Eau de Parfum makes for a good gift as the fragrance has the right mix of floral & woody notes. Also The bottle is quite elegant and easy to travel with. The staying power of the fragrance is also quite impressive.
