Avon Emerald Cut True Color Eyeshadow Quad ( Rs 799 for 5 g)

I am a fan of Avon Lip products but their eyeshadows gave me mixed feelings. I have previously reviewed Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad Glow Teal. 

Avon Emerald Cut True Color Eyeshadow Quad has 4 eyeshadows – Shimmering Beige, Softened Peach, Green Metal & Blackened Emerald. All the colors have shimmers in them. I found this combination very interesting and wearable.

Texture of all the shades vary, I find Beige shade a bit powdery rest all the shades were ok to work with. Last two greens had a better formula. The biggest drawback is pigmentation. All the shades are very sheer and need too much layering for them to show up. I didn’t observe much fall out while application.

Without a base / primer none of the color shows up well. Even on the top of base Peach color refuses to build up. I would rather use rest two emerald green shades separately for a smokey eye makeup.

Overall Thoughts

All in all Avon Emerald Cut True Color Eyeshadow Quad didn’t work for me. Neither the color combination nor the pigmentation of the eyeshadows. I was pretty excited to try this palette but nothing impressed me except the compact packaging.
