Ageing is nightmare for any girl. Fine lines on forehead or around mouth can call for some serious skincare regime and you would like to get rid of them as soon as possible. But can we actually get rid of ageing? I don’t think so, its inevitable and all we can do is delay it as much as possible. I have been anti-aging products for past 3 years and I strongly believe in prevention.

So in the quest of achieving smooth “Younger” looking skin I decided to test “Avon Anew Reversalist Complete Renewal Range”. This range has 4 products –  Foaming Cleanser, Day Cream, Eye Cream & Night Cream.

I love day creams that come with some sun protection, preferably spf 25 or above. Because UVA/B rays are more harmful and can reverse the whole process in no time. These rays are culprits behind early ageing and dullness. So make sure to buy day creams that offer protection from UV rays. This whole range has nice citrusy scent, which is very mild.

Anew Reversalist Foaming Cream Cleanser (Rs 899 for 125 g) – I personally prefer gel cleanser but whatever the formula is , it has to foam. Some amount of foam is necessary for me. Anew Foaming Cream lathers up so well, even when I use pea size amount. It doesn’t dry out my skin but in colder weather it might.Avon Anew Reversalist Day Cream (Rs 1199 for 50 ml) – Anew Day cream is quite moisturzing but light weight day cream. It also has spf 25 and offers protection from both UVA & UVB rays. I have dry acne prone skin and it hasn’t broken me out. My skin feels moisturized for good 6 -7 hours. It does make my skin slightly shiny but not greasy. Avon Anew Reversalist Night Cream (Rs 1499 for 30g) – I love the texture of this night cream. Its thick and has a gel cream texture. Formula is moisturizing yet light weight. I can not complain that anti-ageing products are heavier than regular moisturizers, because they are meant for ageing skin which is loosing natural moisture slowly. Avon Anew Reversalist Express Dual Eye System (Rs 1100 approx) –  Now the most interesting product from this range is the Dual Eye System. It has another compartment in the lid that houses cream highlighter, and actual product (cream) is in the glass jar. Brightening veil to instantly brighten the under-eye area and give an illusion of perfect healthy skin. Though I am not into such products that create illusion and would believe in something that can actually work. Also my under eye are is smooth and hasn’t developed wrinkles yet. On a lighter note that brightening veil works nicely as a face highlighter, though you would have to layer it up.

Overall Experience

Avon Anew Reversalist range claims to reduce signs of ageing/wrinkles and also discoloration. After using the entire range religiously for more than a month I can definitely see improvement in the texture of my skin. It looks more supple and even toned. I don’t have deep wrinkles or saggy skin yet so can’t say how much will it work on them. However I was expecting that those fine lines on my forehead would go or reduce dramatically, but I don’t see much difference there. For me Day & Night Creams are the winning products from the range, due to their light weight texture & highly moisturizing properties.
