Avene Dry Touch Very High Protection SPF50+ Emulsion Review

With the sun shinning high & bright on our heads, we all start hoarding on to sunscreens. No body wants sunburn or tan, also the damage these UVA/B rays do to our skin is irreversible. I have dry but acne prone skin so a sunscreen that isn’t sticky or greasy does the job for me. Also the product should have SPf 30 + . I have been trying out Avene Dry Touch Very High Protection SPF50+ Emulsion for the past couple of weeks now and will share my thoughts today.

Avene Dry Touch Very High Protection SPF50+ Emulsion Review

Avene Dry Touch Sunscreen comes in a pretty bright orange tube with a pump. The pump has a clear cap on it so there isn’t any accidental spillage when you are carrying it in your purse. One pump is more than enough for your face & neck.

The sunscreen is white cream which spreads and blends into the skin immediately. I detest formulas that leave a white cast on the skin. Avene Dry touch sunscreen doesn’t do that. Also the formula is non-greasy and doesn’t feel sticky on the skin. At the same time it isn’t too drying and works perfectly for my dry/combination acne prone skin.

Heavy or greasy sunscreens can clog pores and cause breakouts. I have been using it for a long time now and almost everyday before stepping out and it hasn’t caused acne or pimples. The formula has a faint scent which isn’t bothersome. It sets into semi-matte finish after couple of minutes.

It does need some blending to get absorbed completely and avoid grey cast. I apply the sunscreen half an hour before going out.

Avene Very High Protection suncare range offers a triple protection using mostly mineral and organic filters which are carefully selected to ensure that they don’t irritate the skin. This stable, Octocrylene-free and silicone-free formula, which has been patented by the Pierre Fabre Group, offers maximum efficacy with the minimum of filter concentration. It also prevents skin damage and thermal spring water soothes the skin.

Avene Dry Touch Very High Protection SPF50+ Emulsion is priced at Rs 1375 for 50 ml available Online

Overall Thoughts

If you are looking for high protection and a formula that isn’t greasy / sticky then do try Avene Dry Touch Very High Protection SPF50+ Emulsion. It works well for my dry/ combination skin too, since I don’t like heavy / moisturising sunscreens. It doesn’t cause dry patches and blends well into the skin without leaving a white cast.
