5 Non-Sticky Sunscreen To Try This Summer – Acne Prone Skin

Being a beauty blogger I very well understand the damage sunrays can cause to my skin. I make sure to layer it up before stepping out in the sun. However finding a sunscreen which suits your skin type perfectly can be tricky at times. No one knows it better than me because my skin is dry and acne prone, so I need a sunscreen which is hydrating but not sticky.

Over the years I have tested and tried numerous sunscreens and here are my 5 top favourites –Lotus Safe Sun UV Screen Matte Gel SPF 50 PA+++

Lotus Safe Sun UV Screen Matte Gel SPF 50 PA+++ – This is an old favorite of mine. If your skin is acne or congestion prone, buy a gel based sunscreen. Because the formula is usually light weight and doesn’t sit on the skin surface. I have used it a lot and its gel texture sinks into the skin immediately without making me oily or shiny. Not to forget my skin loves it and has never broken out during the usage. You can read detailed review HEREInveda-Sunscreen-Cream-Gel-SPF-50-PA+++

Inveda Sun Screen Cream Gel SPF 50 PA+++ – I have been using this sunscreen for almost 1 and a half years. Brand calls it a gel formula but don’t expect a clear gel like product, its a cream with gel like light weight feel. The formula is moisturizing and doesn’t feel greasy or sticky. I always make sure to apply it on bare skin, without any moisturizer because it definitely moisturizes nicely. It has never broken me out and suits all skin types. Read detailed review HERE.

Himalaya-Herbals-Protective-Sunscreen-Lotion

Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion SPF 15 – This is another current favorite of mine. I steer clear of the formulas that leave white cast and this one doesn’t. However the SPF content is quite low so I have reapply it after every 3-4 hours. Its not very moisturizing which makes it perfect for summer. Its a broad spectrum sunscreen which provides protection from both UVA & UVB rays. Nivea Sun Immediate Sun Protection SPF 30 PA++ (2)

Nivea Sun Moisturizing Immediate Sun Protection SPF 30 PA++ – Generally its advised to apply sunscreen 30 minutes before stepping out,but believe me half of the times I apply it on the go. Thankfully Nivea has come up with Immediate Sun Protection formula which immediately shields your skin against sun damage. I love how the formula is non-sticky, doesn’t leave white cast and moisturizes skin. I use it as a moisturizer and it works nicely. The shine it leaves, subsides in 2-3 minutes.

Ansolar-sunscreen-900x439

Ansolar Daily Use SPF 30 – This is the sunscreen my dermatologist suggested when I was undergoing a treatment for uneven skintone and blemishes. I got to know that my skin has adult acne issues, which was quite surprising for me because I never thought that even dry skin can struggle with acne issues. She prescribed Ansolar Sun Screen since its a gel formula and doesn’t clog pores. The only downside it that the consistency is quite thick, rest its a non-greasy formula that doesn’t leave a white cast.

These are my 5 sunscreen recommendations for dry/acne prone skin. These sunscreens can be equally good for oily skin since non of them have greasy, sticky texture. I will be trying Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock next since everyone is raving about it !
