How To – Homemade Hair Cleansers / Shampoos:

A healthy hair needs a healthy care. We spend thousands of money every year on hair shampoos with a belief that they will benefit our hair. We tend to ignore the chemicals that the shampoos carry. A lot of dirt and impurities gets piled up on the scalp which slowly starts damaging the hair. Thus, proper cleansing and shampooing is a must.The following are 5 homemade hair cleansers –

Lemon and Cucumber cleanser:

Lemon has citric acid which makes it work as a cleanser. Cucumber is rich in minerals and also has cooling effects. Take 2 lemon and extract the juice out of it. Take 1 cucumber and  extract the juice out of it. Do not peel the cucumber as the skin has many nutrients. Blend them together. Use a cotton ball to apply the liquid on the hair. The impurities on the scalp will soon be removed after the wash. If you have an itchy scalp, the lemon might create an irritating sensation. In such cases, reduce the lemon and increase the cucumber juice. Leave it for 30 minute and wash it off.

Coconut Milk Shampoo:

Coconut oil has many benefits to the hair. It provides nutrients and fats that are needed for hair growth. If you have curly hair, coconut milk can help you to straighten it. Take a fresh coconut and make the juice out of it. This will be little tiresome. It is better to purchase the coconut milk from outside. Take ⅓ cup coconut milk in a container. Add half cup tropical traditions coconut oil soap to it. Add 2 teaspoons of sweet almond oil in the container. Stir them well. Now add 10 drops of lavender oil to it. Mix them well and store in a shampoo bottle. The shampoo recipe will not be spoiled till 2 weeks. You can use this Homemade Hair Cleanser as a substitute for your shampoo. See the change in your hair and decide to continue or discontinue with it.

Avocado Shampoo:

Take the pulp of a ripe avocado in a blender. Add 1 teaspoon of baking to it. Add few drops of water. Blend them properly. Apply it on your hair and scalp. Leave it for an hour. Wash it off thoroughly with normal water. Your scalp will be super clean. Avocado will provide your hair the necessary nutrients and moisture. Avocado is slightly sticky in nature, hence rinsing has to be very strong to get rid of it. You can choose your consistency.

Egg and Honey Shampoo:

If you are looking for soft and silky hair, try out Egg and honey shampoo. We all know about  the beauty benefits of egg both to the skin and the hair. Take 3 eggs and take out the egg yolk n a glass bowl. Add 3 teaspoon of honey to it. Blend them together. Use a cotton to apply the liquid on your scalp and the entire hair length. Leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse it thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Jojoba Tea tree Shampoo:

Taake 2 teaspoon of Jojoba oil in container. Add quarter cup of liquid unscented castile soap and half cup of distilled water to it. Add 2 drops of tea tree oil to it. Mix them well and store it n a shampoo bottle or the dispenser bottle. Wash your tresses with this natural shampoo and see the results. It will cleanse your scalp, relax the scalp and nourish the hair roots.
