Pimples are just not common with oily skin, but also other skin textures such as dry and normal. The sebaceous glands produces oil that leads to the occurrence of the pimples. The change in the lifestyle, stress, eating junk and oily food, menstrual cycle and too much of expose to  external environment can be some of the other reasons for the occurrence of these pimples. They look very ugly on the face and must be immediately dealt with. There are drugs available to treat the pimples, however natural ways are the best ways to prevent further occurrence of acne and pimples. The following are some of the home remedies for pimples:

Ice Cube:

If there is any redness or swelling due to pimples, an ice cube can do wonders. Do not apply the ice directly on your face. Wrap it in a cloth and apply on the affected area. Hold it for few seconds and repeat the procedure. An ice cube increases the blood circulation, removes the impurities of skin and closes the open pores. You can also massage the ice all over your face.

Lemon:

Lemon is full of vitamin C. It also has citric acid and can cleanse your skin completely. Take a lemon and extract the juice out of it. Dip cotton ball in it and apply it on the affected area. Leave it overnight and wash it in the morning. If you have sensitive skin you can add few drops of water to the lemon juice. Apply on regular basis to prevent the pimples from further occurrence.

Toothpaste:

Yes, the toothpaste which you use for brushing your teeth. Toothpaste has peppermint that can heal the pimples. Always prefer the white toothpaste as gel toothpaste will not give you the desired results. Apply a pinch of white toothpaste on your pimple and leave it overnight. Wipe off the extras. Do not forget to wash it in the morning. You will be surprised to see that the redness has reduced and the size of the pimple has diminished.

Steam:

Pimples occur when there is an extra oil production by the sebaceous glands. Steaming is the ultimate solution for it. It will open the skin pores, remove the impurities and supply fresh oxygen to the skin. Take a large container and fill it with extreme hot water. Cover it with a towel such that the vapour does not evaporate in the air. Inhale the vapours and allow the skin to get in contact with the vapours. Ensure that you do not burn your skin. Continue this for twenty minutes and wash your face with cold water. Do not forget to close the skin pores.

Garlic:

It is antiseptic and antifungal in nature. Garlic contains sulphur which attacks the pimples and heals it. Consume one clove of garlic everyday for health and skin benefits. Take a clove of garlic and mash it. Apply the paste directly on the pimples and leave it for an hour or so. Wash it with lukewarm water. Follow this procedure on regular basis to get rid of the pimples. You can also directly rub the garlic on the pimples if you do not want to mash it.

These simple yet effective remedies are a sure way to treat your pimples. We cannot prevent the pimples completely, however, can take simple steps to treat them and avoid frequent occurrence of it.     I have tried the lemon and ice cude solutions.. the others are still to be tried though I have heard a lot about toothpaste. It seems to provide relief quickly.
